The Challenge

Global projects need local support on the ground to make them effective.

A blue chip pharmaceutical company going through organisational restructuring was evaluating the resourcing of their local trial program in New Zealand during the transition.

BELTAS was requested to manage their studies throughout the country, to minimise the impact of the reorganisation on clinical trial projects, personnel, and sites.

The Response

1. BELTAS Clinical Research Associates spent time onsite at the client’s premises to become familiar with in-house procedures and keep matters up-to-date. They were part of the team at the company, and assisted where needed.

2. We picked up the studies that hadn’t been receiving the attention they deserved and caught up with outstanding data, queries and concerns.

3. BELTAS Clinical Research Associates engaged with the sites, many of which were already familiar to the team, to provide support and continuity for their clinical trial responsibilities.

4. All monitoring activities were carried out according to the client’s SOP’s, clearly documented, reported on and filed in the company’s systems.

The Results

• Through adopting the client’s way of working, BELTAS was able to provide continuity both at the company and at the study sites, helping to manage matters during change
• We were thus able to ensure a smooth handover of up-to-date trials when required, while other studies continued with BELTAS to their end
